Overview ( None/Minor Spoilers )
Julia’s sister is dead. Her life is falling apart, and her parents do nothing to comfort her. This causes Julia to deal with her grief alone. Julia’s parents are also expecting even more of her because Julia’s sister was the “perfect daughter”. Never getting in trouble, never staying out late, no boyfriend, knew how to cook, and clean. Even Julia thought her sister was perfect until she went into her sisters room, and found some not perfect things. Was Julia’s sister hiding something? Was she not so perfect after all?
My Thoughts ( Contains lots of spoilers!!!!!!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! )
This book was pretty good. I like the way they depicted Julia’s spiral, and struggles with mental health. Even the way her parents reacted to her mental health was shown in great detail. It really showed another perspective on how someones mental health doesn’t just effect then, but rather effects everyone around them. I don’t like how there wasn’t much mystery in the book because the author made the book sound like a mystery. It was more of a mental health awareness type book. Other than that the book was great.
